3.20 - PLOT UPDATES

All right, so after considering how our first plot-run went through and how useful subplots could potentially be to moving events along, the following decisions have been made:

[/i][/b] for all characters.

2.) The threads will be only huge and very plot-heavy events. This might include unlocking a Summon Spirit, the land becoming Fallen, etc. General stuff. Anything you want done outside of that can be A.) incorporated as a subplot or B.) plotted out and written on your own time.

3.) We will never require the same secondary characters twice in any one round. This means Cassiondra, Darius, and anyone else who was a player in the last round will not appear twice consecutively. (Unless they are, for example, absolutely necessary to events.)

4.) We will try and run only two plot threads at a time that certain characters are expected to participate in. Ones that require only canons will be closed, but we will try to avoid this if at all possible.

5.) All old plot threads—that are detailed enough to be used—will be archived in a plot board. Anything that goes beyond ten posts will be officially closed if they are not finished within the month. New events assume the endings of past threads, and this is to keep things moving. (Plus, the stuff that goes on surrounding the mainplot is more just-for-fun. Don't get too hung up on completion.)[/ul]


Also, a small note: because the Sword of Maxwell was difficult to use as a plot device without rpers knowing exactly what it does, the staff decided to take the Cirith role under its wing to make events smoother. Although Lucas will be remaining a canon role as would be expected, the person controlling the Sword of Maxwell will be written by myself and changed according to the staff's and site's interests.

[/b] – After crashing, Zoe and Isaac are separated and encounter Ashe Diamant acting in disguise, who has recently been assigned to observing the activities surrounding the base set up in the entrance to Eld's hold. With the Spirits still needing to be gathered in the Sword of Maxwell, Zoe has a vision that Ashe has designs against her, but is destined to become an ally. Even if suspicious, she chooses to let her accompany them down to its mechanical depths where they unlock Efreet.

[/b] – After hearing of the Ancient stumbling into Eld, curious on-lookers decide that they will do what makes the most logical sense: break into the perimeters set-up outside of the facility that supposedly surrounds Eld's makeshift research facility. They drag along a friend for the ride, but the entire group ends up interrogated by the research project's leader before they reach the inner sanctum, Vaan Escal. Little do they know, the whole of it will shake and shudder and activate when the seal is broken.

[/b] – The cult of Maxwell makes an appearance in King's Hold, forming a rally in Gladiolus. Although still largely unknown, it breaks out into a full-scale riot after their leader spreads word of the land being completely sealed, and they begin to search for those seeking salvation from Maxwell's Wrath. Although the Guild Masters scoff at the idea, fear begins to settle into the hearts of the world . . .

[/b] – The borderlands in the Guilds erupt into full-scale conflict after a border skirmish where a soldier was shot. Although only news of his accidental death has reached the capital, those belonging to the Guild are crying foul on the part of the Empire. A scouting mission is given to a select few, where they uncover that the Ancient girl is supposedly in Eld and they decide to bribe Gladiolus's rebels for info . . .
