[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,10,true][atrb=style, width:450px;,bTable] NAME Ailia Kariyelle Reist AGE 14 RACE Human FACTION Hunter's Guild. Non-canon. MY NAME IS AILIA REIST, AND MY AFFINITY IS LIGHTNING. MY SECONDARY ELEMENTAL IS SPIRIT. I THINK BOYS ARE CUTE, BUT THEY ALSO HAVE COOTIES. AND I AM PLAYED BY SASKA. personality "Energetic" is probably the biggest understatement regarding Ailia's personality. Born into a life where she was confined for years studying magitechnology, Ailia enjoys the sense of freedom she has with the guilds, and doesn't make a point to hide it, either. She's extremely free-spirited and positive, almost always seen skipping around with a smile on her face. She has a tendency to run at her own pace, doing things how she wants to and how she thinks would look good... Though, of course, whether it actually looks good or not is something to be said. She appears to live with a strong, full sense of life with little to no worries at all. A lot of the time, Ailia is considered hyperactive, , jumping at the slightest of things, running and jumping for no reason, and generally acting as if she were constantly hyped up on sugar. That being said, sweets are a thing which Ailia will hoard; they are to be considered delicious, though she most enjoys chocolate and sour candies. To an extent, her hyperactive nature can become annoying at times, though she rarely cares whether it does or not. She has a tendency to act quite childish in her ways, talking in a babyish voice and often resorting to petty things whenever she can. In addition to her voice being high-pitched because she is female, Ailia will often talk in nasal-seeming, babyish tones, especially when she's either frustrated or doesn't get her way. Small temper-tantrums like any child would do are far from abnormal for her as well. Random cannot even begin to describe the way Ailia speaks about things, however. She has a tendency, very often, to rant in conversations, going on and on and on and on about something and often going off on a completely different tangent than what the original line of conversation was. She also has a tendency to spout things completely incoherent to a conversation when startled or surprised, hardly taking the time and effort to observe what startled her in the first place, and instead jumping to random, incomprehensible bouts of unrelated and irrelevant confusion. In short: Sometimes, she descends into the land of incoherent babble, and everyone else oughtta just roll with it, it's natural.* While it's hard to say that Ailia can be 'serious', she does have what is better characterized as an 'explosive' side to her personality. Most of the time, she is known to unleash sometimes rude, often joking comments towards her companions, in a very blunt yet still childlike and hilarious fashion. She is also known to be quite violent towards people that are especially easy to pick on, often catching them in various wrestling holds. Because of her years spent cooped up in a lab doing nothing but working and studying, Ailia has a desire to do many things. These things range from being obsessed with magitechnology created by other people, to silly things like going sledding or skiing on a mountain, to being able to fight an Egg Bear all by herself. In other words: it doesn't matter how normal or how completely ridiculous it is, Ailia probably wants to do it. history Probably the most intriguing thing about Ailia's history is that... It's not that intriguing at all. She was born a relatively normal girl, aside from the fact that she had a strong desire to see the world and do the most absurd of things. The Reist family was known for being obsessed with magitechnology, but the young daugter had it in abundance. However, her family was also known for being long-time researchers of the art, and so studying magitechnology became Ailia's life. However, after beginning her learning at the age of six, alongside learning the basics of reading and writing -- which, thankfully, she was quite adept at, and learned quickly, almost like a prodigy child -- she found she didn't quite like it. That, however, didn't matter to her parents. Who would have cared if the little girl wanted to physically go out in the world and learn about magitechnology? No, according to her parents, magitechnology was to be studied in a lab and learned about that way. Ailia strongly disagreed with that. There were other things better than magitechnology that she could learn, and despite her intense aptitude for it and for learning it, her parents never believed she was ready. She was always cooped up in a lab, in a classroom, learning about the art and how it worked, learning about various applications of magitechnology and about advanced things it could do, or things that it used to do. She also learned a lot about the Ancients while she was studying as well. At the age of thirteen, however, Ailia couldn't stand it any longer. During her research, she had come across a faction known as the Hunter's guild, somewhere that she would be allowed to pursue her love for magitechnology without being bound by rules or cooped up. She would be able to go on adventures, like she had so strongly desired to, and do things that she wanted -- such as take on an Egg Bear all by herself. It was only by sheer luck that by the time she'd finally decided this, she had completed the current line of work she'd been working on. She had learned to make her own magitechnology weapon. From there, she was also taught to harness it to use artes, finally being able to learn the things she'd wanted to learn years ago. Feeling confident that she could handle herself, she left her home in Drasil to travel to King's Hold and become part of the Hunter's Guild. Along the way she did find her paths blocked by monsters, the worst being a Living Sword that decided she would be its next meal, if she could be considered that. It only took her an hour and a half to try and take it down, mostly by running away screaming that it was going to eat her, and occasionally knocking it askew with a Pow Hammer. Nevertheless, she reached the Hunter's Guild, enrolling herself as a very low-ranking member who planned to steal magitechnology. She'd gotten some along the way, after all -- managing to steal a mana core from a Lightning Elemental had to be some sort of grand accomplishment. After all, when she'd enrolled saying she'd accomplished it, the men she'd spoken to had laughed in absolute fear of her skill and power. I mean, who really would have thought such a little girl, one who ran skillfully from a Living sword could be such a skilled thief? She'd also managed to steal an apple and set it on fire, causing havoc in the marketplace in King's Hold. Forget the destruction -- the concept of setting an apple on fire and throwing it into a crowded marketplace was just way too much fun to pass up. notes *Samedi is full of win for that tl;dr description. 1. Height-wise, she stands 4'6" tall. She dislikes people pointing it out and will probably beat you over the head if you do. 2. She has a bigger chest than her companion, Arin. She likes making it known. 3. She's a troublemaker. A ridiculous one. 4. She has an 5. She hates vegetables, except carrots and peas. Fruits she's okay with, so long as it's not some type of melon or pineapple. 6. Her favourite food is apple crumble. 7. She likes to think she's able to do grand, extravagant things. In reality, she just has a lot of dumb luck. 8. While she's quite book-smart when it comes to magitechnology, a person's IQ tends to drop five to ten points in the common sense department around her. 9. Her parents are too absorbed in their magitechnology research to care that Ailia may be missing, which is why they never bothered to go after her when she left. Their research was far more important than a child who couldn't listen and follow them. fate testarossa harlaown - magical girl lyrical nanoha - ailia reist |
