The road was bare in the forest, the only noise heard was that of the birds, the wind, and the footsteps coming from Valentina's steps. How many times has she been going back and forth between Cirith, Azul, and Gladiolus as a messenger for the Schwartz and Azurine divisions? She was a Captain, dang it! Not a Private! Sure, the topics were actually rather sensitive, but even then, it feels like that's all she's been doing lately.
The young woman sighed as she looked up. The thickness of the forest was quiet a sight, and the temptation to fall back and just gaze at it was inviting to say the least. However, she didn't fight it. Tina found a small hill on the side of the road, walking over to it, taking off the belt that held her sword and just fell back, landing hard on the ground, but it didn't bother her. She just laid there, staring at all the nature above her. In fact, she saw a couple of birds flying through the branches as if they were playing a game of tag. It was so serene...
"Good thing I'm off for a couple of days now..." That was likely all she needed. A vacation or sorts. Come time she is needed again, all this tension will leave her body and she'll be going straight back to work. Tina put her hands behind her head as support as one leg curled up and left the other laying straight on the ground, not even wanting to pay attention if someone was passing by. The scene was rather relaxing. In fact, her eyes slowly came to a close as the rest of her senses took over, listening to the wind and animals, and feeling the breeze sweep over her like a cool blanket.
