Zac is contradiction personified. If you ask anyone who claims to know Zachariel of the Constantine family, you will have a picture of a cheerful, expansive, sociable man, sometimes even too impulsive. Behind the mask, he is a cold, calculating individual. Any of his words and gestures are carefully planned, and he almost never gives real information on himself. When he says he likes sweets, he actually likes spicy, and when he says yes, he really means no.

He is also a rather smooth talker, able to recite a whole lie as if it has always been a truth all along. In other words, he turns facts upside down. Although not a very good habit to possess, he finds it extremely useful when he has to give his patients hope in their times of difficulties which often concerns life and death. He can give you the most assuring smile and consolation even when he feels like crap inside.

Other than that he's a pure seme type personality. Zac likes controlling more than to be controlled, and he enjoys to initiate some serious teasing and will not bow down to anyone trying to do the same to him. He doesn't like people prying into his personal affairs, but he is very much interested in poking his nose where he doesn't belong.

And he gets jealous. A lot. He doesn't fancy having people fawn over his possessions because he dislikes sharing. They are a threat to his assertion of control and he does not appreciate that.

Born as a member of the Constantine family of Azul, it was no coincidence that Zac developed quite a twisted personality. His family had always been a permanent participant of the underground market, both as a seller and buyer. They rave in money and fame on the surface, owning a famous and legitimate fine dining restaurant in Azul who often held generous culinary events for the town residents. Being a two-faced individual was the norm for every Constantine. Better yet, nobody else outside the family would know of their hidden nature.

As a young boy, Zac didn't care about the society. A comfortable house, a comfortable bed, and a comfortable lifestyle were all he needed to survive. Surrounded with riches and bathed in respect in town, he had never felt that anything was wrong with his life at all. However, in his late adolescent years, he discovered how his family bought slaves and treated them like they were less than animals. He questioned their morals, but still he didn't dare to do anything yet. After all, he was but a small, young, and powerless boy - he wouldn't be able to defend anything.

Eventually, his family gifted him with a slave - a woman slave - as his 12th 'birthday present.' They smiled and congratulated Zac while supposedly showing him how to properly treat slaves. First they would tell him to command her to do anything, and should she refuse, Zac would have to discipline her. They showed him how - they kicked the frail and skinny lady around, hit her, left her with bruises despite her desperate cries screaming at them to stop. Zac felt helpless, he couldn't stop the powerful adults. Now he knew why his family kept buying slaves. It was horror watching it. The contrast between the girl's desperate cries and his family's laughter was driving him crazy. All of a sudden he felt so alone, like a stranger in his own house.

Later at night, he stole a medical kit from the living room and attempted to treat the wounded lady. Seeing her weak smile and receiving a soft 'thank you' from her comforted his torn soul, and he formed a resolve in his heart. Although cruel, his family was still family - and he would very much love to pay for their sins. He studied hard to become a doctor, thinking that he would be able to redeem his family's respect by helping lots of people like he helped his lady 'maid' that birthday night.

On his graduation day, he went out of his house bringing the lady slave along with him. Instead of going home afterwards, he brought the lady slave to eat the food she had never had the chance to enjoy. He brought her on a tour around Yumiris - before finally arriving at Xihe and freeing her. After that, Zac himself searched around for employment in Xihe with his qualification certificates in hand, and managed to survive as the foreign doctor in one of the clinics in the capital city of Zhi Ming.
