MY NAME IS ARIJANA SEYCHELLES, AND MY AFFINITY IS WATER. MY SECONDARY ELEMENTAL IS EARTH. I AM HETEROSEXUAL AND I AM PLAYED BY HARMONY. personality + Mature, Kind, Fair, Forgiving, Honest, Determined, Passionate, Open-minded- Gullible, Overly-focused at times, Agitable, Blunt, Wary, Stubborn, Overestimates, Burdens herself history Arijana Seychelles was born in Gladiolus, daughter of a high-ranking general in the Azurine battalion and a well renound noblewoman and sister to Cassiondra Seychelles, came as a bit of a surprised to her family as her mother was not likely to bear another child. Still, despite being the second child, Arijana was raised similarly to her sister, brought up to learn both swordplay and the life of a noblewoman, but as there were two children, Cassiondra, the eldest, was trained more on swordplay, leaving Arijana to be groomed as more of a noblewoman. Ultimately, their fates were considered complete opposites, but as far as Arijana was concerned, they both still shared the same name. However, as Yumiris started to become more dangerous, Arijana's focus shifted to the sword, like her sister. However, around seventeen, she was shipped to the Rouge battalion and was trained there, becoming a foot soldier. It was tough at first, but she was able to adapt with time to life as a soldier, making her wonder if it was any easier for her sister. However, she was later sent with a force to combat the Guilds in a skirmish. She felt confident at first, but as battle ensued, she was surprised from behind and was dealt a harsh blow. After she hit the ground, her consciousness fading, she was scared. A million regrets and wishes passed through her mind, the most powerful one being one simple plea: 'I don't want to die.' As if by some miracle, Arijana opened her eyes to see a ceiling, but it wasn't a familiar sight. She tried to sit up, only to have pain rush through her like a solar flare. To her surprise, someone rushed over and told her to stop moving, only adding to her confusion. She didn't know who she was looking at, or the surroundings... In fact, she didn't even know why she was hurting so much. The man who came to her explained what he could, saying she was brought in by this older man who was a friend of his, saying that she needed help or was going to die. To the man before her, he thought she was going to die, but as he did all he could, she somehow held on, despite the wound. Arijana asked how it all happened, which led the man to ask if she remembered anything about the event, but try as she might, nothing came to mind. He even tried to ask her name, but all she could come up with was 'Ari'. The man looked worried, but played it off as he explained to her where she was. She was brought to a town just on the outskirts of Xihe, known as the Eastern Lands. It was here that she was brought to be treated, though it had been over a week since she came. Arijana took everything as it was explained, though it didn't help her memory. All that she knew was that she had to heal. Maybe in that time, her memory would come back to her. Days passed. Weeks passed. Even months passed. In time, Arijana was able to move without difficulty, but her lack of memory kept her from going anywhere. As such, she stayed within town, learning the customs and way of life, as well as the conflicts. People seemed wary of her at first, which confused her, but they later warmed up to her, telling her stories and information that seemed to click in her mind somewhere with each familiar thing that she heard. Empire, Guilds, royalty, wars... it all seemed to mean something. It soon followed with dreams, all feeling so real each time she had one. A family... mother, father, and sister. It came to a point where she could almost feel it on the tip of her tongue. Despite the lingering memories that she couldn't grasp, Arijana spent a few years in the town, almost to the point she had a life there. But one day, she found the clothes and armor she was in when she was wounded. It triggered something, making her stand in place, staring at them as she tried to remember. Then it hit her. Life as a noble, her father Eldryn, mother Airiyel, sister Cassiondra, the Rouge battalion, and the event that nearly cost her her life. Once it all came back, she went back to the one who she first saw since losing her memory, and told him everything. To her surprise, the man knew about her, saying the man that brought her in was, to even more surprise, her father. When she pressed the matter, the man couldn't tell her, saying that Eldryn didn't tell him much of why he did what he did, nor of what happened to him afterward as he never did come back to check in on her. She asked if he could come up with any reason, but according to what all he had heard, her father went missing one day. No one knew for sure if he died, defected, or what. Arijana wasn't satisfied though, and decided to find out for herself. After saying her goodbyes, she headed out with a clear goal in her mind: To find her father. She could have gone home, but after so many years, she knew a sudden appearance would not help the state of affairs in the Empire. Plus, if she wanted to come home, she wanted to come home with family... if not with at least the full story. Was it selfish on her part? Most likely so, but it was her choice. Plus, she could learn more about the world outside of city walls as compared to behind them. After all, a noblewoman should know these things... notes lilly satou - katawa shoujo - arijana seychelles |
