"Stop! You're within the Empire's boarders!"
"Have to catch me first!" Thea's usual self, going around causing trouble. The gun-slinging huntress was just outside in the forest looking for her mark when she decided to add a little spice to the hunt: Having Empire soldiers chase her down. 'Always wondered what it's like to be hunted,' was her triggering thought. If she had any way of keeping under radar with the Empire, she just lost it now.
'Okay, now let's shake them off and see what they do.' As she pushed through a crowd, a small alley came into view, leading to an area of trees that looked ripe for climbing. She took the route and jumped up on a trunk of a tree, kicking off it and grabbing a higher branch to let her swing up and out of view. Couldn't stop there though. Thea took a blind leap, miraculously landing on another sturdy branch that had another one in view. Tree jumping wasn't exactly something she knew how to do, but it was new and exciting. Might as well learn as she goes along.
"We lost her... Damn!" was the first thing she heard after stopping for a second and keeping as still as she could. "Spread out! That Guild brat couldn't have gotten far!" Footsteps coupled with the sound of clanking armor went in several directions, one passing underneath her, but still going as he didn't bother to look above. NOW things were getting interesting. How, oh, how could she finish her job with a bunch of Empire tin-heads searching for her on all patches of dirt here in town and the forest? A smile crossed her face while she dropped down to ground level, clearly amused.
"Now THIS'LL be fun!" she said aloud, but still keeping her voice down. Since it looked like she was on the outskirts of town, it would be best to look around the perimeter. The employer said that the monster isn't afraid to get close to populated areas, so it should be nearby. If she's lucky, someone'll scream and give it's location away for her.

Strolling with light ease toward her hometown came the lesser known ornithophbic Rameli, wonder chef in training known only just to her parents and maybe the random stomach if they were knowledgeable in that. After an earlier run in with a strange white haired man along the way left her in a placid mood. He wasn't hungry but didn't seem to care for her questions as he carried on in thinking she was a stupid uneducated girl, which is a half right concerning her being near book dumb on the more 'famous' works. Pouting momentarily at the rude man, the girl took her leave and continued on her journey back to Cirith.
With the town coming into view, the girl quickly tossed the odd meeting with the man out of her mind. It's been a couple of years since she left for the Empire and then some so seeing how her parents are doing was pretty much her main plan for the day then resume traveling. An unannounced drop in wouldn't hurt concerning it being part of the trade.
Up ahead however, something did look a bit unusual in all her years. The town guards being a fuss? Definitely odd. "I wonder if a local farm animal ran loose today. Wait, maybe it's a drill practise like in the city?" Seeing a guardsman patrolling close by, Rameli trotted up to him with her staff behind her and asked eagerly. "Hi Mister! Is there an event in town?" The guard turn to the blond scarfed civilian with a stressed look written all over his face. "Ma'am, I would advise to exercise caution while traveling. Also, if you sight any Guild members or wild monsters, please alert the nearest patrolman. Take care," the guard briefed rather quickly then hurried past her to resume his search for the rouge Guild member.
Remali looked on at the guard's back and the little dust cloud in his wake before promptly waving him good-bye out of good nature. "A Guild member huh? That doesn't sound too bad, I think." During her traveling and seeing the ranging fashions of how people dress themselves, she took a moment to stand in the open road a bit longer to ponder that like solving an elementary level math question. 'So if there is a Guild member sighted around Cirith....and we're not really a heavy port town. Then that must mean...'[/i] Rameli rested her staff in an arm as she lightly hit her left fist into her right hand as the answer came to her. "Then they'll have to be dressed like an out of townie!" The wonder chef giggled and smiled happily at what she thought to be her most profound resolution of logic. Ha! take that book man! 'How genius of you Rameli! You deserve a pat on the shoulder.'
