He had explored the treetop village of Cirith where he had spent many years learning from the master of archery, and later traveled to the dragon’s mouth in search for winged serpents. His name was Dante Seleste, and although he had not found any real dragons he did happen to stumble upon riches throughout his journeys. Some were hidden in caves, and some he had earned through hard work for the people he met on his travels. Then the man had pursued the rumor of slave trade in Azul, and had found the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. She had hair that looked to be made of gold with bright blue eyes like sapphires. Her movements were fluid like a dancer, yet she had an innocent, bashful nature unlike the higher classed ladies he had met before. He loved her.Heroically, Dante freed this lovely dame before asking her hand in marriage. They settled down in a house by the sea where they could watch the sunrise and sunset together in peace. Then they had a bursting ball of sunshine named Camilla. The child had her mother’s fair, golden hair, but her eyes had been the fierce reddish brown color of her fathers. When she was young her mother had said they looked much like the desert sands in Rukh. The parents loved their child dearly, and while growing up she lived a happy life. Dante had taught the girl all he knew about archery, and the mother had taught her how to sing and dance in the streets of Azul. When the summers were hot she learned how to swim in the ocean, catching fish with her father to supply dinner for their family. But, the days she could not attend her father her mother kept her indoors to learn how to use her healing magic. At night, when the breeze swept in to cool her room, Camilla would scramble on into her bed and wait for her father to tell her stories of his past journeys. The girls eyes would grow wide as he spoke of monsters with three heads, or lands made entirely of ice so cold that it could freeze a man’s tears to his cheek. The stories grew more exciting every night with beats, thieves, and ladies dressed in pure silk. When her father was too busy during the day to tell his tales the girl would curl up in the warm sands of the beach with her face buried in adventure books. Tales of delicate princess’s, and brave warriors danced inside her imagination. She wanted to live those lives, experience the world as her father did. Camilla dreamed of becoming a fierce warrior, or perhaps being rescued by a handsome prince….or maybe both! The world outside of Azul seemed like such an exciting place, and she wanted to see it all. When the girl reached the age of eighteen her father had caught a sick with a violent fever that took his life. The family was grief stricken, but they soldiered on as they endured their sorrows. Camilla’s mother became sweeter during the time after her father’s death, but she feared for her daughter’s future. The mother did not want her daughter to become what she had once been, and even though they had enough money to survive the woman sought out for a suitable husband for her daughter. The area they lived in knew of her father’s wealth, and several eligible bachelors had been more than happy with the proposition of marriage. The year that Camilla turned nineteen was the year her mother had informed her about her arranged marriage. Like most young, strong willed girls, Camilla refused to obey, or even meet the man. She knew if she agreed to marry some rich merchant she would be stuck spending her days birthing children, or playing the role of an unhappy housewife. Her dreams….they would just become dust in the wind… One summer’s night when the air was still and the moon was full in the sky, Camilla packed her things and sneaked out of her house. With her she took food, a few of her clothes, her adventure books, and her father’s old silver bow and quiver. Camilla ran from her home, and began her journey filled with adventure….fully unprepared for what the world was going to throw at her. notes LIKES ~Flowers ~Fantasy/Adventure books ~The Ocean ~Swimming ~Dancing/Singing ~Shooting her bow ~Sweets ~Animals ~Affection/Hugs ~Invading other peoples personal space DISLIKES *Rude people *Arranged marriages *Being kept inside *Spiders *Spicy Foods *Being alone *Getting lost *Joe, the kid that plays pocket hockey down the street.
