Do it better than anybody you ever seen do it. Screams from the haters, got a nice ring to it. I guess every superhero need his theme music. No one man should have all that power. The clock's tickin', I just count the hours. Stop trippin', I'm trippin' off the power. Ah, Gladiolus. If there was any place a bounty hunter should avoid, it was this. This was the core of the Empire, where majority of their troops and attention was. Causing any trouble here would be truly foolish, and even Skyle knew not to attract so much attention to himself. The last thing he needed was having the whole Navy on him. Escape would be entirely impossible. What was he doing here, then? Well, he was here for a more lower-profile job. Delivery of a package. Just because he did bounties most of the time did not mean that it was the only field he was skilled in, no. Skyle had a trick or two up his sleeve when it involved smuggling packages through borders, and he had done just as such. In fact, he had just finished dropping the delivery off, the man now walking down the streets of the capital late in the evening, with the moon high in the sky. He had his hands in his pockets, and a cigarette wedged in between his lips, leaving a trail of smoke up into the air. With impressive skill, he took an inhale of the cigarette, and exhaled a puff of it into the air, all the while keeping his cigarette in place. Really, it was an acquired skill, developed over the years of his time with the deadly habit. He had signature dark blue jacket on, with its sleeves folded up to his elbows. Under that was a cream-white dress shirt, the collars erected slightly. A slack navy tie hung around his collar, though it did not really make him look any smarter. A pair of pants and black loafers completed his attire, then, with Teresa and her holster upon his right thigh as the finishing touch. He let out a soft sigh, then, dropping his head in annoyance. His right hand slid out of his pocket, scratching the back of his head and ruffling his already messy hair. Well, where was he supposed to go now? He had done his job, and he had gotten his reward. Should he go look for another job to do, if there was even any to do here in the capital? A single thought on it, and Skyle already knew that he probably was not even going to try. He simply felt too lethargic to work again that day, not after such a long travel from Azul to get here. "Get out of here, you drunkard!""Hmm?"He halted in his tracks, looking over his shoulder and watching as a man was thrown, literally, out through the bar doors, landing hard on the ground flat on his back. Following him would be an empty bottle that bounced off the ground, before hitting the downed man in the shoulder. Skyle would stare for a brief moment, before giving a soft scoff. Ah, well, it seemed that even in a place like this, there were still scum that roamed the streets. Especially at night. He gave a soft shrug, before taking a step forward. Just as he was about to put his eyes back to the front, however, he found himself meeting solid, as he bumped into a red-haired woman. |

She had remember coming here for some reason when she was smaller. She thought it had something to do with Rikuto but it was a foggy memory. So it was only so long before their paths would once again cross with the city. It was in the warmer months now and the Sakiyurai family was aligned with the empire so she held no thought of hiding her tattoo's.
Her lower back tattoo of the family showed in her revealing clothing. Perhaps she finally actually matched the gigolo brother of hers. Rikuto always dressed like a sexy hoard so she didnt' mind finally showing him up. He hadn't said anything about it but she knew that the other red head would be in a pretty foul mood if anyone looked at her the wrong way. He always went and flirted with women but the minute anyone wanted to flirt with her nope couldn't happen.
Either way, she was out by herself that evening. It seemed that her brother now had a hangover. She had known this would happen. He had stayed up all night drinking and trying to get something from the local ladies that he had forgotten about his drinking limit. So, now she was in charge of taking care of him despite having warned him this would happen.
She let out a sigh as she walked down the street. She had the medicine for her brother in her hand and she shut her eyes for a moment. Orbs opened again however when she heard shouting and yet another male was thrown out of the bar that her brother had been kicked out of the night before. Part of her wondered if this place had a habit of kicking drunks out. But sadly, she only thought of the previous night when she had to drag her brother away.
Unfortunately a few moments after another male bumped right into her lithe form. Startled she staggered back a bit losing the grip on the medicine that went rolling to the man that was sprawling on the ground. She took a moment to steady herself before Aschela's hues moved to the one who had bumped her then to the other.

A step back was all it took for Skyle to regain his balance, as he glanced forward to see the red-head that he had bumped into. Immediately, he raised an eyebrow at her attire. Such a common sight in this part of town, apparently? Well, this was the lower district, where most of the thugs, bars and trouble-makers were. Wouldn't be surprising to see a hooker or two, right? Skyle sighed, relaxing his eyebrow. As he was about to apologise, though, he found that her attention was not being directed at him, and instead at the drunk that had been kicked out of the bar earlier. He blinked, sliding his left foot back so as to put the man within his peripherals away. And that was when he noticed the medicine that had rolled towards the man. "Hey... I need that."The drunkard would blink, staring at the medicine, before quickly picking it up, giving the woman a grin. As he sat upon the ground, held upright by his left hand, and holding the medicine in his right, he stared up at the red-head. "Y-you want this back?" At that, he spun on his bottom, so that he turned to face the duo, as he leaned back, straightening his legs out. At that, he jerked his head towards the direction of his groin. "Make me." He chuckled, as he got up groggily. Skyle blinked, before releasing a soft sigh, watching as the man pocketed the medicine. "What's wrong? It's your specialty, isn't it, bi-- Hey, watch it!" The drunk man would suddenly stagger backwards as Skyle paced towards him, bumping shoulders with the man. Skyle would step back, giving an aloof smile, his right hand coming out of his pocket to reach towards him. "Ah, sorry about that. I've just been out of it today." The drunkard spat at Skyle's feet. "Fuck off.""Fine, fine." And he took a few steps away, standing on the opposite side of the drunkard from the girl. Just as the alcoholic turned back to face Aschella, though, Skyle pulled his left hand out of his pocket while slowly walking away, he brought it up for her, and just her, to see. Unknown to the drunkard, Skyle already had the medicine between his fingers. He grinned as he turned his head to the side so as to glance upon her, before closing his hand, jerking his head backwards in gesture for her to just walk off and follow him as he walked away. The man was so intoxicated he had not realized that in that single shoulder bump the two had had, Skyle had reached into his pocket and pulled the medicine out. There was no longer any need for them to bother with the lowlife. |

Luck was to much against her for anything to actually go right wasn't it? She frowned and stopped in her movement toward the man as he grabbed it up. Her blue hues took a darker color as she listened to the other. This man was going to get his ass kicked. She growled darkly in her chest as he moved around obvious as to what he thought she was. Was that was anyone thought she was? A Whore? That pissed her off. The only good thing was her brother was home. He would of probably tried to kill this man, not that she didn't want to either.
The man pointed to himself and she pulled the silver bow from her back and a bow from the quiver hidden under her jacket. Ah yes, perhaps if she had these showing she wouldn't of been called as such. Just as she was about to nock an arrow the other that she had bumped into seemed to move to the other. She watched him with a slight wonder. What was he doing ?
She frowned some as the drunkard now started yelling at him. The male started to walk away and she strung her bow but her eyes flickered to the side as she saw what he had. Her eyes softened some. He had gotten the medicine for her. She felt a bit better that luck wasn't completely against her. However when he told her to just leave she couldn't except that. Not after what he had just said to her.
She strung her bow pulling the silver string pulling the arrow back and with a deep breath. With her exhaled breath she released the arrow as it spun to the male. A few inches away from hitting him it sliced across his hair and a small slice on his cheek as it embedded in a building. "Don't ever call me that." she hissed. The arrow embedded itself into a building, right beside where Skyle was. The dark-haired male stopped in his tracks, eyes wide in confusion as he turned to gaze upon the projectile, the end of it still vibrating from the force of the impact. He gulped, staring at the arrow, before turning around once more to see the red-head telling the scared man off, who had once again fallen on his back, this time trying to pull himself away across the ground using his hands. He nodded his head frantically at Aschela's last words, before turning around and crawling away on all fours pathetically. Skyle, though, was too distracted by the bow in her hand, and the arrow beside him, to care about the drunkard. He raised his left hand, pointing then at the arrow. "I hope that you actually did that on purpose." He blurted out, indicating the random thought he had that she had probably been aiming at him for taking away her medicine. A misunderstanding, in short. He would simply laugh it off, however, as he pocketed his left again. Taking out the medicine, then, he tossed it gently into the air, before catching it. Reaching out with his right hand, he grabbed the shaft of the arrow and pulled it out of the wall, though with a little bit more effort than he expected was required. She really was good with a bow. "I believe these are yours, though." He said as he walked over to her, tossing the medicine towards her direction. And as he reached her, he held the arrow out in his right hand. He would then finally glance towards the direction of the drunkard, or at least, where he had run off to. He would release a sigh. Some people can just be too much. Then again, he couldn't really judge others. The man himself was not a good example of an ideal citizen. He was a killer by profession. Bounty Hunting did involve taking a few lives, after all. And he barely batted an eyelash when doing it. It was all business, after all. He turned back to her, a soft smile on his face. |

Without Rikuto around she could pretty much act however she wanted. With him around she always had to act like an adult. Since he acted like a child she was forced to take the other approach and stop him from his womanizing tendencies. She smirked a bit however when the drunkard seemed to be begging for mercy now. She smiled but her eyes turned to the other as he spoke.
Well, yes she had released the arrow past him but she wouldn't hit him. "I knew what I was doing yes. I wasn't aiming for you. I was aiming for the lowlife that called me a bitch." she said calmly. Since the drunk wasn't really in her sights anymore she strung it on her back. She looked to Skyle now as he grabbed her arrow and tossed the medicine her way. She caught it easily in her right hand and smiled a bit as he offered her back her arrow.
"I really appreciate what you did " she said. She normally didn't meet many guys that were nice like that. She only knew one and he was a complete jerk. Stupid spiky blonde. She was all ready getting flustered thinking about Vincent. She didn't need to think about him though, instead she should be thinking about the male that was with her now that was kind enough to retrieve her things and help her.

"I really appreciate what you did "Skyle scoffed, a soft grin on his face as he shrugged almost nonchalantly. Of course, he wanted to keep his bad-ass image up. He wanted to give her the message that he did it out of boredom, not out of the goodness of his heart, for despite the coldness and selfishness the mercenary seemed to be famous for, he carried quite a sympathetic heart, always looking out for others and understanding their positions. "Eh, it's nothing." He replied simply, lowering his arms as he placed his left in his pocket. At the same time, he would reach into the jacket pocket with his right hand, revealing a box of cigarettes. Popping one out with a flick of his thumb, he clamped upon it with his lips, before pulling it out. Wondering if the girl smoked as well, he reached it out to her in offer. If she refused, then of course he would pocket it. If not, however, then he'd let her have a single cancer stick. "I'm sorry I caused you trouble. My name is Aschela, but most people call me Ash." Skyle nodded his head in acknowledgement as he pocketed the cigarette pack. He would hold back on the lighter, though, as he stuck his hand out for a friendly handshake. All the while, his left hand stayed within his pocket, the stance that the bounty hunter had adopted being a rather casual and carefree one, simply leaning on one leg. "Skyle Laurent, mercenary and bounty hunter, at your service. Pleased to meet you, Ash." He grinned briefly in pride of his title, and would give her a firm shake of his hand were she to take it. And as soon as that was done, he would reach into his pocket and reveal a silver-cased lighter, one of his most prized memento, for it was something that he carried along him from his past. A past of betrayals and challenges. "So, who's the medicine for? You don't look all too drunk to me, or a hangover, for that matter. And I doubt it actually has a calming effect on sober people, but hey, everyone to their addiction." He raised an eyebrow, a chuckle being produced as he took his first puff off his cigarette after lighting it, his brown eyes coming up to meet hers. Snapping the latch of the zippo lighter closed and effectively killing the flame in the process, he replaced it within its equipment slot. |

She had met a lot of people before but had learned that people were cruel. Most didn't really care about anyone but themselves. So, to find someone that actually wanted to help was rather nice. she sighed a bit and quickly started to apologize to the other about what had happened.
"Still, it isn't nothing. I really do appreciate it. " She said with a smile. She watched as he grabbed some cigarettes. She wasn't really a smoker but she owed him and graciously took the one that he had offered. It wasn't that she hated the cancer sticks, just that she really didn't have the time or money to waste on them. She only introduced herself as she played with the stick in her hand before putting it in him mouth holding on with only her lips.
She blinked a bit as he introduced herself. Ah, well, she wouldn't have expected that from her. "The pleasure is all mine Skyle. " she said softly. She noticed his hand and took it from him. She offered her own and shook it. He had a nice firm hand shake as she expected from someone like that. She watched as he pulled out a lighter and took the cancer stick out of her mouth hoping to get a light from him.
" Ah yes, well I had assumed someone would ask that. My brother is the drunk actually. He's back at our hotel room. He's been an ass since he got drunk last night. But, I'm his sister, who else is gonna take care of him." she said with a light chuckle. She only hoped that the other wouldn't think wrongly of her. She just hoped she hadn't made a bad impression.

Though people usually inhaled as the cigarette was being lit so as to allow the fire to eat into the paper of the cancer stick, there were some who preferred not to let the taste of gasoline enter their mouth, even if it was just for a short moment. Skyle had no comments, really. It was her choice to make. " Ah yes, well I had assumed someone would ask that. My brother is the drunk actually. He's back at our hotel room. He's been an ass since he got drunk last night. But, I'm his sister, who else is gonna take care of him." Ah, siblings. Being the only child, he never knew what it felt like to have siblings. All the close relations he had had were simply the ones with a mother, a mentor and two best friends, but every single one of those had been torn from him, due to different circumstances. He was alone now, and sometimes, he actually preferred it that way. He only had himself look after, and that was always something quite easy. Besides, who would actually take him in? The man was a wild and reckless individual, and he never could sit in one place for too long. Both willingly and unwillingly. "Ah, for a moment there, I thought it was some addiction of yours." He chuckled, as he inhaled a drag of smoke, before blowing it off to the side, not wanting to be rude to his newfound companion. "Well, he's fortunate to have a sister like you." He smirked. Whenever he got drunk, he had to drag himself back to his own residence, whichever it was at that respective moment. Sometimes, it was easier, for he often lived in inns that had bars with them. Other times, well... It was a challenge, to say the least. "So what are you doing out here?"He blinked, before giving a shrug. "Eh, I just finished a job. Was just looking for a place to stay a night." |

She knew as well that it was better to start with the cancer stick in her mouth, but it was just one of those habits that she had come to hold. Rikuto wasn't much of a fan of smoking he was more of a drinker and she only grabbed a cigarette when there was one to go around. It wasn't a particular habit she did often but it was one she didn't hate.
She was actually a little bit worried about he might think about her brother and about herself. That boy got her in so much trouble all the time. His nasty hobbies were gonna get her and him killed one day. She let out a soft sigh at the thought, but thankfully he didn't take to long with his answer which made her feel just a bit better. She listened quietly as he began to speak ,
"Ah, for a moment there, I thought it was some addiction of yours."
She rose a brow quickly. "An addiction? Oh god no. I don't like medicine I prefer not to take it unless i absolutely have to. " She huffed a bit with a sigh. "My brother gets me in a lot of trouble all the time, so its no wonder you thought that. Did it really seem that way though?" she asked him looking in his direction. she frowned some and pondered it quietly to herself.
"Well, he's fortunate to have a sister like you."
She actually smiled some. She was happy that someone seemed to notice and recognize her for what she did. The lord only knew that Rikuto never said anything to her about it. "Well, it can be a pain sometimes, but I guess its worth it when I get complements about it. " she said with a small laugh. She was beginning to like this man and actually had a good feeling about him despite what he mentioned earlier.
"Eh, I just finished a job. Was just looking for a place to stay a night."
She tilted her head some. She wondered if he had found somewhere yet... "Hmm, well then, may I help you with that quest? I actually got two rooms at the hotel me and my brother are at. Just in case he annoyed me so much that I wanted to leave. So, in repayment why don't you take the extra room for the night?" she asked gently.

Did it really seem that way though?"Skyle chuckled softly, as he placed his left arm across his lower ribs, resting his right elbow on the back of his left wrist. He placed the cigarette between his lips, taking in a drag off smoke as he shrugged his shoulders. Then, once again excreting the fumes towards the side, he would finally answer. "Well, it was the first thing that came to mind. That is a drug, after all, and you seemed highly motivated to get it back. Besides, it's not like you're wearing a shirt that says you have a drunk brother, now, do ya?" Skyle replied with a slightly teasing tone, though it did serve to justify the misconception he had. "Well, it can be a pain sometimes, but I guess its worth it when I get complements about it. " Now wasn't she a sly one? Skyle shook his head, a soft amused smile on his face. She was rather vain, wasn't she? Well, of course, it was all a tease, and he had to admit, she did pull it off in a rather adorable way. And then came the offer of the extra room, as she suggested giving it to him. His eyes widened, to say the least, his smile fading away slightly. It was not that he was unhappy about it. He was just... Caught off-guard. "That's, uhh..." He paused, before lowering his left hand, before bringing it back to scratch his scalp. "Really generous of you, but I really can't just take your room like that. I didn't even do much to help. You could have gotten it back yourself." He lowered his arm once again, before giving her a soft reassuring smile. "Besides, you may just need it, like you said, right?" |

It was nice to be with someone else other than her brother for a change. She liked spending time with other people now and again. It was especially nice to spend time with someone that actually knew their manners. Riku was nice to her, but he was also way to over protective. For an over protective brother he sure needed to learn that to be protective he had to stop getting drunk all the time. For goodness sake he had almost gotten her hurt today.

She chuckled a bit. At his teasing method, she smirked at him a bit. "You will have to remind me to get one of those shirts then." she teased him. She smiled a bit. "I guess I can understand then. " she said. This male, he was quite the catch wasn't he? Despite his job, and what that brought about he was nice. He seemed to be a gentlemen, after all... he didn't have to help her. Not that she couldn't of given that son of a -- a run for his money.
She definitely should of shot an arrow in his heart. She let out a soft sigh though. There was no reason to get angry. She took a short drag of her cigarette, and let out a wave of smoke from her mouth. She noticed the amused smile on his face with her comments. She silent wondered what he was thinking but shrugged it off instead offering her extra room to him. At first she wondered if she had said something wrong because he had gotten quiet. There was a hesitation in his voice before he spoke again..
"Really generous of you, but I really can't just take your room like that. I didn't even do much to help. You could have gotten it back yourself. Besides, you may just need it, like you said, right?"
She tilted her head some frowning as he spoke. She wondered why he hesitated so. "I really don't mind. The rooms aren't together, if that's what your worried about. They are across the hall from each other. I don't mind so much. I made sure these drugs would knock him out, so he shouldn't be to much of a hassle. " she said softly. Well... now she sounded kind of stupid didn't she? She had complained about him but now she was saying it wasn't to bad.
She held back a sigh and just took another drag letting out a puff of smoke again. Well, it was his choice whether to take it or not. "I know its your choice and all. But, it would honestly make me feel a bit better if you would take it."

| [atrb=valign,top]I'm livin' in the 21st century. Doin' something mean to it. Do it better than anybody you ever seen do it. Screams from the haters, got a nice ring to it. I guess every superhero need his theme music. No one man should have all that power. The clock's tickin', I just count the hours. Stop trippin', I'm trippin' off the power. "I really don't mind. The rooms aren't together, if that's what your worried about. They are across the hall from each other. I don't mind so much. I made sure these drugs would knock him out, so he shouldn't be to much of a hassle. ""Ehhh..." To say the least, Skyle felt conflicted. Here he was, being offered a free room. Just when he was looking for it too. At the same time, he realized that this was something she may need to use as well, even with the drugs and all. Internal conflict indeed. He lowered his head, simply bringing a cigarette up to his lips as he took another drag of smoke. So, what was he supposed to do? "I know its your choice and all. But, it would honestly make me feel a bit better if you would take it." He raised his chin, glancing up at her, before releasing a grumbled chuckle. He took a deep breathe, before releasing a sigh. And then, with a shrug. "Hell, Ash. If you put it that way, it's just harder for me to say no." He blurted out, giving her a soft pout of sorts. Dropping his arms, though, he sighed once again. "Fine, I'll take you up on that offer." He smiled, as he inhaled another puff again. Then, stepping aside, he would swing his arm out in gesture. "Lead the way, then, Ash." He winked. |
